Passing Tech Question
 

I downloaded the 06 rule book and was doing some reading and I didn't see anything about cracked windsheilds, I was under the asumption that cracked windsheilds where not permitted. Did I miss that section or does it not say anything about that in there.

I don't remember the specifics, but it's something along the lines of: the crack may not be in the driver's line of sight, and must not contact two edges of the windscreen.

There may also be a max length.

When you do the tech inspection, just drop a $20 note on the ground and say "how did that get there?".

I'll put Andrew Jackson as my name on the inspection card.

Covered by 'any car deemed unsafe' could be barred; probably depends on how bad its cracked & what the tech inspector thinks.
