This Just In: Acura of Reno

I just found out that among exsisting dealers in Reno, we are in the top 3 for a possible merger soon, as Honda Motor Co. wants to bring the Acura line here. They'll likely not want to just try to cram it in this building tho, so we'll prob. be building another dealership down south of town, and splitting the two, moving Nissan down there, and moving Acura into this shop.

Crappy part is, we need to clean this shop up, to give their reps a good impression of our shop's cleanliness and such... Which means I have to clean up this god-awful mess of a work area I have here! (some of you know exactly what I speak of! )

Just some interesting info I thought some of you might be interested in!

Wait, you guys are gonna be a Nissan/Acura dealership? What does the local Honda/Infinity dealership think about that?

m4d vt3ch!

I thought it was kinda odd that we're trying so hard to get Acura instead of Infiniti, as they're both supposed to be coming to Reno. Maybe they just want some diversity...

Exactly. It's awful hard moving Nissans when the equivalent Infiniti is sitting right next to it for only a few thousand more.

You are welcome to use my truck to move stuff out of there if you need to. Like old red seats, etc..

You might have to go through your "junk drawer" and throw out some stuff to make room for new stuff that's currently just piled on the floor. :)

I already moved all of my wheels/tires, struts, misc. crap, (pulleys, rsb, etc.) and that damn seat (!) off the table so I can load it all up this weekend, and put the stuff for the Z motor on the table, so it looks more like an engine's being built and less like a junkyard!

It looks a thousand times better already! You can park a CAR in my flat stall! Now there's a concept!

They've said that before.

yeah, there's been talk of this new building forever, but it'll almost be a necessity if we take on another car line. TW will definitely be making money out of this venture, so it very well may happen this time. As far as I know, he's pretty set on doing this, but Acuras people have to come and see our place, and talk to him, and make their minds up first...

Cory I heard through the dealer channels that Allison Motors was the front runner, due to their other 3 Acura Dealerships. But you never know around here. You would think Taylor would want the infiniti dealership.

MPREZIV 2006-03-23 12:05 PM

Allison is first, and as far as I've heard, we're second. I believe it was Kevin who hit it on the nose with not having a Nissan, and it's much nicer Infiniti counterpart sitting side by side on the same lot...

Ezdno 2006-03-23 12:21 PM

Thats a sweet deal either way, looks like I will be ramping up to build another Acura site soon! And you guys soooo need to move into a new building with a HUGE ass lot.
