lower too far = bump steer
i've read that lowering helps bump steer. does 2" go too far and give adverse affect?
i'm thinking cobb when i go to lower my car, and they advratise 2"(in the front). |
I don't think it has a significant impact on bumb steer. Check out this thread for reccomended ride heights from DMS.
http://seccs.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3283 Go much lower than this, and you get bad camber juju... |
I know my last wrx sat well below the recomended ride height. Those JIC coilovers I had did an awesome job, and i had no adverse effect even though the car was like 3 inches off the ground. The camber was cranked in pretty good too if i remember right.

You must have had different JIC than I did. I think I had the "pogo-stick" edition struts.

You can go lower at the penalty of bad camber in the corners. |
my jic's had crazy spring rates on em, they didnt pogo at all. I get what you are saying though with the camber in the corners under load.

Your control arms, and steering/toe arms are never really all perfectly setup to negate that. |
