Anybody have a flat bed trailer for me to borrow?
I need one if anybody has one or would like to help me move a non-drivable Subie here in the very near future, I'd appreciate it. I'll have pictures of why I need one whenever I can get to Carson again. Or if Bobby has a camera and can take pictures...
Thanks! |
How about you just tell us and post pictures later?
|
Because I don't wanna get TTIWOPP!!!!11!!1 or something along those lines.
Also, I like the mystery of it... I'll tell you later. |
Your new sig= mystery solved. :p

Meh, I'll just tell you guys. I was driving home Sunday night from my girlfriends house in Gardnerville. It was about 6-7pmish. I was coming into Washoe Valley from Carson on 395 doing about 60. If you guys remember, that day had some funky weather. At the time I was driving it was barely sprinkling, no snow anywhere, but the road was wet. Well I'm driving in the right lane, I wasn't braking, I wasn't turning, I wasn't accelerating and all of a sudden the rear of my car starts to slide out to the left. Immediately I thought "Uh wtf is going on?" Before I could think, the front end of my car slams into the right retaining wall, spins once and bounces against it again, then slides across the lanes and I hit the left retaining wall head on. I remember right before I hit everything slowed down it seemed like. I looked back up the road at the cars coming at me in my lanes. A bunch of thoughts went through my head. I thought "This is going to be bad. I hope those people don't T-bone me. I've never been in an accident where the airbags deployed..." And then BAM! My car hits, airbags deploy, and I get out of the car as quickly as possible. It felt as if I were to pull the e-brake while driving. I can't explain it or figure out what happened for the life of me. Perhaps some black ice? I'm not so sure because I saw people swerve around me. But I'm ok, just a goose egg on the back of my head and some red mark on my chest. But my camera is in my totalled car in my parents driveway in Carson, so no pictures yet. |
Damn... Glad you are OK. Another testament to Subie safety.
|
DAMN JONNY! Glad you're alright dude! That blows!
|
Jonny man that really sucks! Glad you are ok! Are you still going to buy Tim's RS?
|
I need to show my parents how appreciative I am of their help. They are doing so much for me, I dunno what I'd do without them. They paid for the tow, plane tickets to Texas for Bobby and I, they are letting my poor car sit in their driveway because I have nowhere else to keep it.
Luckily I'll be picking up Tim's RS in 3 weeks =) Oh yeah, nice sig Cory. |

What really chaps my ass was I was going to finally man up and bring my silly little car to a meet... |

Man up for real and bring it to the next meet on the back of a flatbed. |
I'd help but my trailer is loaned out to a friend. Besides, how are you going to get it on to a trailer? You'll need a winch or something.

What are you going to do with it? You aren't going to try to fix it are you? No offense, but the junkyard will come pick it up for free.
|
Where do you want to take it? Tow companies don't charge much for local moves, especially if you tell them it can move whenever. It would be a lot easier and safer to load.

EW! At least I don't need to replace the taillight anymore. Thanks Bob. Maybe it's not that bad... but it doesn't run at all. And I don't think many people want a crashed L.
