Silent Hill!!1!

Who's going to see it on Friday?!!

I'm trying to find a really, really late showing. Might have to do Saturday. =/

It looks pretty damn cool to me... and I'm usually not a fan of video game or horror movies... but something about it is just so perfectly creepy I want to see it. However I don't think I'll be around to go see it this weekend.

GC8.Love 2006-04-19 12:45 PM

Aaaah. I'm not a scary movie fan, but I played the games in the dark 'n stuff. I really hope it lives up to my expectations.

I want it to be every bit as disturbing as the first clip in SH2 where you see Pyramid Head for the first time.

And from what I've heard in the previews, I don't think the siren sounds quite right..

But the one in my hometown sounds just like it. =D

I played part way through the first one way back in the day. I'm definitely down to go see the movie, although it looks liek it's sort of amalgamated from more than one of the games? Whatever, looks cool, and I don't usually have a desire to see horro flicks.

I want to see it. But I'll be busy taking my car apart in Carson Sat...I'll go Friday.

Those games used to creep me out. I loved it. I didn't have the urge to see resident evil or doom. I might want to see SH though.

Yeah. My friend's brother thinks that RE owns Silent Hill. Yeah, right.

Resident Evil's nothing compared to the freaky stuff in the SH series. I didn't like the last one much, but it was still disturbing as hell.

Doom was a surprisingly good movie. I want to see SH, but I never seem to make it to the movies here (except to see ATL yo) so it'll have to wait til video for me.

Is that out yet? Is it good? If it's not out do you really want to see it? I mean come on, it's a movie with rappers acting. Do you understand that? RAPPERS ACTING.

MPREZIV 2006-04-20 06:43 AM

Yes, the rappers acting thing can be pretty hairy, but ATL turned out to be a good movie! It actually had somewhat of a plot, (however predictable) and I was pleasantly surprised that it WASN'T just 2 hours of negros killing eachother!

Yeah I saw it. They filmed part of it like 2 blocks from my house. :) It was actually not that bad. Much better than I thought it would be, but I had low expectations. It was fairly predictable, but entertaining. Plus it's fun to hear people yelling in the theatre here. haha

JonnydaJibba 2006-04-20 07:04 AM

Hmm interesting. Maybe one day if I ever have cable and it comes on I will scope it out.

GC8.Love 2006-04-22 12:36 AM

Feh. I was not impressed by SH. Way too little of the gruesome baddies, not enough spastic movement, surprising moments, and just general disturbing things for my taste. Lonnie was happy with it, but I suppose my expectations were too high. -.-

It's nice that they incorporated the actual soundtracks from the games, but they didn't use much of them. Maybe 3 or 4 tracks. And they repeated them, too.

Shoulda used more of the creepy tracks full of ambient freaky and/or sporadic noise..

JonnydaJibba 2006-04-24 07:34 AM

Hopefully I'll be able to see it soon.

sp00ln 2006-04-24 01:44 PM

I heard it was the gayest movie ever.
