how do you ship used wheels?
i'm thinking of buying a set from across country, and ups quotes $200. what other methods of shipping are there/ has anyone used?
|
don't worry alex, your high on priority.

FedEx Ground to business address is a little bit cheaper.

Is it wheels, or wheels plus tires? Wheels alone should be $60-70 or so. It's tires that get expensive because of size and weight.

If you can get him to ship Greyhound it should be cheaper (and slower). I've shipped wheels and tire sets with Fedex for $100-$150, depending on how far and what size the wheels were. $200 sounds kind of high, though with gas prices so high right now UPS might be increasing rates to keep up.

I always used Greyhound for heavy stuff.

Oh i see, gonna quick ship out those rims to someone else ? :P
|
yes it's with tires.

Well when I sell a used set of tires, I call my buddies at one of my old jobs, and ship them for free. But if you can't pull the old job card, you should look into 4th Class Postal service, I sent a 100lb box of stuff for 8 bux a few years ago. Might have gone up some since then.
