FS: Dean's '02 WRX

OK, before I go tearing it apart, I figure I'll see if anybody wants it with some or all the goodies on it.

'02 WRX with <33,000 miles. I have had it since 2000 miles.

It has a salvage title which I have been led to beleive is due to it having been stolen from a dealership in LA.

In the 30000+ miles I have had it, just about every nut, bolt, mechanical system has been gone over, so the car is sound in my opinion.

I am not going to hold anything back on this. I paid $15,200 for it back then which was a screaming deal. Even today, KBB private party value for "poor" condition is $15,015

Mods:
Driveline/Power:
ECUs: 1 ECUTEK with a STX legal map, and 1 AP/ST with stage 2 base map loaded.
Flex up-pipe
BPM "twister Turbo back with divorced wastegate.
Boost, EGT, & oil temp/pressure guages with clock.
Group N motor mounts
Group N Tranny mount
Poly Diff bushings
Snorkle mod

Underdrive pulley with belts (not installed)
PWR monster intercooler with hoses (not installed)
Spare stock intercooler (not installed)

Handling:
Hotchkis sway bars with Poltec solid adjustable end links
DMS 50 Inverted 50mm monoshocks with road course, and street springs
DMS V1 adjustable front camber plates.
Group N rear top mounts
Hotchkis adjustable rear lateral links
5 Rota Subzeros freshly powdercoated black. (Not sure what tires will be on it. Probably only 1 set of well used somethings)

Brakes:
2 complete sets of 328x28mm Stoptechs. One with 1mm wear, and one with brand new rotors.
Spare stock rear rotors (not installed)
Stainless lines
Lots of spare brake pads.

Other stuff:
Even shorter shifter (not installed)
Most of the stock stuff
All the best fluids since I got it.
Cracked windshield, and pitted paint.
Other stuff I have forgotten.

Even with the salvage title, I could probaby get $10K for it if I return it to stock and put a windshield and some paint on it.

If you are interested in it as is, or with some/all/none of the mods, let me know, and we can discuss price.

Snap!

Why are you selling it Dean? ;)

M3n2c3 2006-05-09 10:36 PM

I think he got an STi.

Dean, would you consider selling the 4 silver subzeros separately?

Dean 2006-05-10 07:02 AM

If I decide part it, many of the parts are already spoken for, or will go on the STI. I'll post anything that becomes available at that time.

And Yes, the STI is replacing this car, and the Stealth.

JonnydaJibba 2006-05-10 07:35 AM

Not the Stealth! Aw. So please tell me you didn't get an 06?

Dean 2006-05-10 07:37 AM

'04 Silver. Jerry C's car.

JonnydaJibba 2006-05-10 07:39 AM

Oh thank goodness.

Kevin M 2006-05-10 07:49 AM

Selling a bugeye WRX to get an '06 STi is perfectly acceptable dude.

Selling anything to get an 06 STI is totally unacceptable. 06s (imo) look like ass.

khail19 2006-05-10 08:06 AM

06s are hotness. I want one, but I'm still too poor.

doubleurx 2006-05-10 08:28 AM

Congrats on the new car Dean. Can't wait to see the two of you in action.

sti deede 2006-05-10 08:31 AM

Sweet Dean Congratulations! Good luck on the sale!

Keep me in mind if you decide to get rid of any of your wheels. I'm going to need another set within the next few months, I think.

I'd also be willing to trade-up my stock rims if you need a set in order to get the WRX back to stock. :)

tysonK 2006-05-10 10:01 AM

what's all this 06 talk?

sp00ln 2006-05-10 11:37 AM

Dean, have you check to see if the RPF1's fit over the brembo's, or is it moot, since you'll switch to the StopTechs anyway?

cody 2006-05-10 01:24 PM

I wanted flat black Subzeros so bad, but they stopped selling them in that color so I got the Torques in Gunmetallic.

Kevin M 2006-05-10 01:26 PM

Rattlecan FTW dude.

cody 2006-05-10 01:28 PM

Yah, I'm gonna have to rattlecan the Torques and the RP02's one of these days...

sp00ln 2006-05-10 01:43 PM

Um, I ment of the STI...

Not a whole lot has been done to the STi yet.

Dean 2006-05-10 01:50 PM

Um, this is a FS: post, not a hey look at my new car post..

Kevin M 2006-05-10 01:52 PM

Chill dude, you have it better than the other guy selling a bugeye here does. :p

I think a lot of us would like to know more about the STi. Start a new thread so I can ask you if your bringing it out this weekend. :P
