maf spray
a few weeks ago i tried out some of crc's "MAF sensor cleaner" and i gained about 2 mpg! or maybe that could have been the switch back to paper air cleaner from foam. any input/experience? yes, i need a job.

We've been carrying it for a while now and it's been fairly popular. I used the 3M equivalent a couple of months ago and didn't really notice much. I was having other difficulties at the time though, which ended up being a cracked plug wire. So it might have done some good, I dunno.

My buddy Jose tried out a foam filter and it dropped his gas milage as well. (2005 Jeep liberty) I've only ever personally tried a paper oem, fram paper, and K &N. but i'de say K&N. both reports of locals using foam (you and jose) say it drops your mpg.

alex: now that a few weeks have passed, i guess you haven't noticed any difference from when we sprayed your maf?
|
uhm. actually maybe my gas milage increased a tad, as i was getting 19.5 immediatly after taking my ski rack off and i've been getting 20 or slightly over lately. but i have also been taking some longer trips, which versus driving 1 mile trips around town helps a lot. what gas milage are you seeing out of your WRX? i belive i was getting 22ish around town in my 03

23.5ish with i/c hoses, and no up cat. meow.

Thats just around town ? wow that's good Tahoe gas milage :)
