Could this be the end of the FX?

So the FX-16 is broken again this time its kind of big, some electrical issue is forcing the injectors to stay open, could be TPS, or something else. With all of the problems the Corolla has, I’ve really been considering getting a new car, but I feel like I’d be giving up on it, which I don't want to do. At what point do you just have to cut your losses, I don't have the money to give it the attention that it needs. I can't afford to take on two project cars, (the AE89, and the AE86) while attending college as well. Tim and Pete think I should get rid of one of my cars, or get rid of both of them and get a new car. If I had to choose between the 89 and the 86, I think I'd go with the 86. If I didn't get so attached to my cars this wouldn't be a problem. Anyone have any advice or suggestions.

Uh, fix the problem? The good thing about electrical issues is that they can often be solved with more time than money. First trace your grounds (a bad ground that prevents a relay or circuit from shutting off the injectors sounds logical, right?) and maybe try a different ECU? It sounds odd that the programming would cause the injectors to go static, so there is some kind of circuit failure, not an input error... I guess. :p

You should jump in the drivers seat of a Subaru (red 02 WRX) in Deans driveway. I don't know how much he's selling it for. Just a thought.

Just pay me a visit and buy an M3 for uber cheap! I'm talking like E36, US legal, for under $8,000.

That sucks Bobby! If you need a hand chasing wires, lemme know.

Plus like another 3 grand for shipping, I might as well by one here. Found anything you like yet?

I found the problem today, the shop that I took it to last week did something with fuzes that control the fuelpump, all better, but i'm still selling it after the season is over. So I can build my 1985 Corolla for FSP.

You could fly down and drive it back for a lot less than $3k.

Umm, Khail, one does not "fly down and drive back" from Germany. ;)

I'll build a boat out of 50 gallon drums and then hook onto a cruise ship thats traveling across the Atlantic.

 I thought he was in Texas...I must be out of the loop. I guess I should have looked left before posting. If anyone needs me I'll be pulling my head out my ass for the next few hours. After that I'll be planning on how to fly to Germany and fit an M3 into my suitcase to bring back.

Bwahaha!

No, I haven't found a decent WRX yet. I did find a sweet red '95 Euro-spec wagon, but it has a N/A 2l :( I also found two R32 GTRs for under $13K :)
