WRC coming to Trier!

I just found out that the famous WRC stage through Germany's oldest city, Trier, will be happening August 11-13. I've already been to Trier and it's an amazing city, and it's only 45 minutes away. I've already purchased my special stage pass and will be booking a hotel room tomorrow. It's even more awesome because the following weekend is the track day at Nurburgring with the Evo club from the UK.

So, who's coming to visit?

My C130 is in the shop for an oil change that week, or I would so be there with my car.

BASTARD!

Nice. Germany is one of my favorite WRC events.

I'm actually at Vogelweh/Kapaun.

I'll be sure to take tons of pictures.

I looked it up, the flight alone is $1,100. I thought about it though.

I lived at Sembach for a while and miss every minute of it. I even found my way to Innsbrook Austria once.

Just curious where you have been in Germany.

I haven't gone too far away from the Ramstein area, but I've only been here two weeks. I'm trying to get some people to go to Frankfurt or Munich next weekend but they are being bitches. I may just travel solo and wing it.

I recommend following the Rhine. There are many sights and castles to visit along the way. The food is fanatastic and the wine is great if thats what your into. It can be done in a day or two.

Also, there is a little ice shop in Kaiserslautern right next to the church that is sunken about 8 feet below the city surface. great shopping in that area.

I'll have to go check that out, it sounds neet.

Hamburg is a ton of fun. Taking a train down south is a blast. Many, many places to see that are beautiful, especially as you approach the alps. A quick day trip from there to Austria is easily in reach.
