Stripping change
So I'm going eastbound on 80 and am coming up on the usual slow down coming up on 395. Figured I'd just stay left and cruise by everyone stopping in the far right lane and use the next lane over onto the connector ramp to southbound 395. I'd enjoy that lane until it merged and on down 395 we would go but wait....they changed the darn lanes. I was stuck out with only the far right lane now going to 395 south. I stayed left and ate my mistake going north onto 395. What the hell, the two lanes going to southbound was great but no longer. Anybody else thinks this sucks? Later D-

Haha, I noticed that too. It's every car for themself in this crazy state. What about the on-ramp to 395N from N. McCaren. It's super short and people just merge onto the freeway doing like 35. I was introduced to this lovely design when I was driving a moving truck N on 395 3 months ago and a VW bus almost sideswiped me out of nowhere. I was like WTF? Did you not see a 24 foot moving truck? :?: It wouldn't be so bad if they put a Stop sign so people could stop and look for oncoming traffic, but there's only a yield sign. Anyway, if you want to take others out when you commit suicide, that's the place to do it.

They definately screwed that up big time...They had a news story on channel 4 about it the other night, some Ndot ass-clown says it's much safer this way...whatever.
Oh, and I believe it's "Striping".... I was about to NSFW this thread based on the title  |
I was waiting for Sperry to chime in about spelling errors.

I drive through that everyday, but I go north on 395. Many times drivers would be in the right line merging on to southbound 395, then realize that the left lane also goes southbound (until you have to merge back to one lane 30 feet later anyway .) Since the right lane is usually at a dead stop during rush hour and the left lane mostly empty (with faster moving traffic), people just move over to the left to try and get 10 cars further up. In the process they usually cut right in front of cars staying left to 395N, causing them to slam on the brakes. So I for one am glad for the change, since now cars at a dead stop aren't moving left in front of cars going 55-65 mph.

Yeah I'm not so sure which way I like it. But that whole area is all fucked up. I think N McCarran has been under construction for what seems like a decade.

My step dad was a striper and he told me that chicks would approach him and his crew sometimes at gas stations and such asking how much they charge.

Yea, I actually agree with the change (for once ) It flows much better since people arent having to merge into one lane. Speaking of crazy on-ramps, how about the one at Gold Ranch getting on to I80E, its fun almost getting hit by semis.
