Auto upholstery tools?

Has anybody got the right tools to deal with Hog rings, or whatever they are called in Auto upholstery?

MPREZIV 2006-08-18 09:55 AM

To put the hog-rings in? Somewhere... Lemme look around, I know I've got one...

Kevin M 2006-08-18 10:02 AM

WTF is a hog ring?

<- scared to use Google

tysonK 2006-08-18 10:08 AM

It's a like c shaped tensioned cllip thing I think?

Dean 2006-08-18 10:21 AM

Stiff ass piece of C chaped steel used to hold reinforced upholstery edges to the metal seat structure. Also used for chain link fence, etc.

And yes, you never know what you might have gotten with a google search. "define: hog ring" might have been safe.

Actually, a google for "hog ring" turned up nothing but the hardware and tools.

. . . at least on the first page. I was only brave enough to go that far.

MPREZIV 2006-08-18 11:04 AM

Can't find that stinkin' thing! Lemme look around Dean!

SteveM 2006-08-18 12:11 PM

I've got one if no one up there can find theirs. And some hog-rings too...

doubleurx 2006-08-20 09:51 AM

Dean I have hog ring pliers.

Pat R. 2006-08-20 06:34 PM
