Well, Baseball postseason is here, even though the Angels missed the AL Wildcard, my Boys in Blue are still in it. Go Dodgers!

I think the Dodgers have a ligitimate shot at beating the Mets in Round 1 of the NL. Mets pitching has been struggling, and now Pedro is injured. Also, LA has been hot lately, scoring tons of runs and their pitching has been excellent.

Out West, I'm actually pulling for the A's, but I'm affraid they will fall flat on their faces like always and live up to their "Choakland" nickname.

My Picks..

NL= Dodgers
AL= Yankees

Dodgers/Yankees WS? I'll kill myself before watching that... those are the two teams I hate the most in Baseball. :(

OAK over SD in the World Series. :cool:

Unfortunately, Minnisota's a decent team, so I'm not sure the choakland A's will even get past Round 1. At least they're not playing the Yankees in the ALDS or my money would be on a 5th game 5 loss. :(

I hate Kirk Gibson with an intensity that only rival sports figures can generate.

Also, I was at Game 3 in 1988. The first of 9 straight A's games I went to wehre McGwire homered and the A's won. I should have written him a letter, he might have gotten me season tickets. :lol:

Yes in 1973 the A's played the Mets, and won, the 1974 Dodgers and won, and the 1972 Reds and Won.

Although I am a HUGE A's fan, I would like to see the Mets vs A's again.

I am old, I got to go to two series games 1972 vs the Reds, and Game 3 vs the Reds in 1990...I was really too young in 72 to remember much, but I truly hated the 1990 game. The only person that I hate worse than Gibson is Sabo.

I don't really care who the A's play as long as they kick their asses!

Anybody see the A's game today? I'm going to blame the cone hits due to blending in with the pavement at Stead like the right feilder with the dome ceiling. "Can't see the ball". At least he made a good play on the next hit, cathcing the liner to him and making a good throw to home.

Yeah, great game, poor Milton though, that ball was no where for him.

Sabo was ok, it was the whole Gibson is a gimp and pulled one out of his ass for his team against the best closer in the league at the time that gets to me
