Thought this may be worth a look. Autopros has $10k in it; Aside from apparent damage, the transmission is bad, missing front seats, mileage is more than likely fraudulent. It did have some brand of yellow coilovers, 225/35r18's... I don't recall the wheels being rashed anywhere. The headlights have some sand damage. Didn't look for any ballasts, so I don't know if they're hid's. Perrin inlet tube, sti intercooler. Mounting holes in trunk lid.

Was this worth the look?

Bob Danger 2006-10-17 07:33 PM

Didn't this car belong to some really tall kid in Carson?

MorganK 2006-10-17 07:35 PM

Yeah...I think his name was Brandon. Nickname, Lurch

qksubi 2006-10-17 08:24 PM

That just took the bugeye to a new low!!

M3n2c3 2006-10-17 09:32 PM

Yeah, I remember seeing that turd of an Impreza driving around town.

Nick Koan 2006-10-17 09:45 PM

Do they pay for the repainting?

Do you mean, would autopros repaint the vehicle?

Yes, No

Nick Koan 2006-10-17 10:08 PM

Exactly. If I were to buy it, would they pay for the necessary paintjob?

That would be something you would have to talk to them about. They probably could at a "nominal fee". The paint, is actually pretty nice in person, imo.

Sarcasm class must have been an elective at your school.

So, I guess to answer your original question of "Was this worth the look?" the answer is 'no'. It was not worth it. In fact, I think we are all a little dumber for having looked at pictures of that WRX. My only hope is that by some strange coincidence, posting these jackass comments will, in some way, shape or form, allow me to regain the brain cells lost from looking at that god awful excuse for a Subaru.

You know, in a way, maybe the answer is yes. Maybe looking at that classfied was worth it. Not worth buying, of course, but worth the laugh.

Thanks for your opinion. The comments arn't jackass, it's reality. This car is fairly trashed.

I think that guy ran a shop in Sparks for a while. Redsun Auto I think?? I remember we cruised there as a group after the meet one night. This had to have been 100 years ago though.

I think he did, I know he worked at a shop in Carson, Wicked something, I ordered my coilovers for the Lancer from him, and I think Jonny got the coilovers for his L from that place aswell.

khail19 2006-10-18 01:46 PM

One and the same, I remember this guy showed me his car when I was at Red Sun. I think he was even a short lived member on here.

Ezdno 2006-10-19 03:26 PM

Well just an FYI, this car was towed to Subaru today, it would not start and if it did it popped like it was about to die. The tech that did the input for our data systems said this car was the biggest piece of crap he had ever seen.

Oh Brandon. He sold me my prodrive rims with almost new AVS 100s . A buddy of mine , Casey, is really good friends with him. He's repainted that car a bunch of times, he sold me the prodrive rims because he had the car painted bronze. when it was bronze with bronze rims it looked great. Either those photos with parking garage lights don't do it justice, or he repainted it (again) I know he's into drag racing a bit as he mentioned believing his car was faster in a straight line then an STI. so i wouldn't be surprised if the car isn't the best of shape. He had a bunch of mods (many cosmetic like some JDM side turn signals) not sure about his tunning.

He even helped me swap out all my tires in his driveway when i bought the prodrives off him. the only thing that freaked me out a bit was my buddy Casey told me Brandon always carries a loaded gun with him.

oh wells. ya it does look fugly in those photos though.

What would the point of carrying an unloaded gun around be?

A1337STI 2006-10-23 04:37 PM

the point of carrying a unloaded gun would be for the Bluff factor,

the point of reading comprehension though is understand what was written, in this case its to understand he carries a LOADED gun , concealed on him at all times.

the general idea of carrying a loaded gun is for security, you feel safer knowing you could shoot people. at least that's my guess, i don't own any firearms.

khail19 2006-10-23 04:53 PM

He read it right, Scott is just saying there is no point in carrying around an unloaded weapon. So what other type would he carry around besides a loaded one?

Bingo. If you're stupid enough to carry an unloaded weapon just to bluff with, you deserve to die when you get shot by someone that believes their life is in danger when they see you playing gansta.

If you carry, you *never* pull the weapon unless you intend to use to to save your life.
