Vehicle Storage

Ok, so if I store the grocery machine for like three months what should I do? We have three cars now and either the Toyota pickup or Jeep to work. When the weather is bad the wife wants to drive her old Toyota and have me drive the Jeep. She doesn't want to be the one that puts the first dent in the new Jeep.

Currently we park the Jeep and Subaru in the garage and the Toyta is outside. If the wife is to drive the Toyota on snow days she would like it to be inside. We thought making a carport along the side of the garage but she wants me to put the Subaru out side under the carport with a cover.

Today I thought of getting a storage unit for three-four months for the Subaru. I figured I should do something special if I'm to leave it alone or I could stop my to visit and run it once a week or so. Back to the original question of preping the vehicle for storage. Any ideas ladies and gentlmen?

If you're worried about dents, you should be leaving the Jeep at home.

Get a hammer and dent the jeep, then she can drive it.

Install a remote start so you can start it and bring it up to temp every once in a while without digging it out of the snow?

Add a nitrous kit, works every time.

I wouldn't be as worried about a dent, as about rock chips in the window during the winter.

That said, I'm also interested to learn if there is special prep to be done since my RX-8 may spend the winter in a storage room too.
