Video Editing SW that does PIP?

So at Infineon this week, I was running one camera pointing forward, and another pointing backwards and am looking for some editing SW that will let me do PIP and/or side by side, etc... with it.

Anybody got any ideas?

Freeware would be my preference, but might be willing to pay for it. :)

No camera pointed at the pedals also?

I do alot of video editing and I use final cut. However, if you dont have a mac its pretty hard to get a good one. If you want, you can send me the footage, or host it somewhere for me to download, and I can put it together either pip or side by side in roughly 10 min.

How about adobe Premiere. I have never tried to do pic in pic, but I think you can take the rear and shrink the size of the vid, then lay it over the front vid. Do you know what I mean?

i completely forgot about premiere, it definately could be done. Side by side could be done too if you saw your image and wireframe and simply overlayed the 2 images and just placed each on 1/2 of the screen

I can't be of any help but would like to see the finished product.

PIP is easy in Premiere.

Dean 2006-11-20 10:01 AM

Isn't Premier still like 500-800 bucks?

Will Premier Elements do it?

100_Percent_Juice 2006-11-20 11:43 AM

I got premiere on cd. I can probably get it to you if you want it.

ScottyS 2006-11-21 10:45 AM

Adobe has 30-day trials of everything too, should be functional.

Actually, Premier can do PIPIPIPIPIPIP.......!

When it was time to buy software, working at the U had its advantages.

Not as many advantages as having high speed internet.

I used a camera flash to line up the videos.

Joeyy 2006-12-05 06:58 PM

Dean, have you put anything together yet? I need lots of video of track days to get me to spring. Please help me Dean finish the video.

Dean 2006-12-06 03:17 PM

Very busy at the moment... Sorry.

Joeyy 2006-12-27 10:31 AM

The wife is at work, I've watched every video clip in the archieves, I've even checked out the SF regions autoX schedule. I might as well start to clean the house, it doesn't look like Dean's next video will be ready any time soon. :(

Sign up for the Thunderhill Audi event and make your own video... :)
