Nissan New Models!!!

We've all talked about it in the past, and I just got back from NNA Tech. Training in Pleasanton CA, and got some info on new shit!

3/4 ton DIESEL Titan: It IS in the works. Likely MY08, no word yet on towing capacity or power figures, but according to our rep., it's on the way! (i know Scott was interested in this)

Skyline: ON THE WAY. MY08, again. Looks to be powered by a TT V-6, no power figures given for the production model, but it'll be $70-80K  Start saving now...

Hybrid Altima/COUPE Altima: Both on the way very soon! MY07, but in the Nevada region, we won't likely be seeing the hybrid. They don't consider Nevada a good market for the hybrid, so we won't be getting them here for retail. The coupe on the other hand, looks pretty bad-ass! (google it for pics) Kinda G-35 ish! Still FWD, 3.5V6, I think about 270 hp.

V8 Z-car: Total MYTH. I don't even know where this one came from, but we were told there was a big huff lately about putting the Infiniti 4.5 V8 into the Z-car, and it ain't happenin'!

Just thought it'd be some cool insider crap to share with you guys! We also got our new OBD scan tool up and running, (kinda... there's still some software bugs... ) It's OBD III compatible, whenever that shit shows up. The cool thing about it is you plug a reader into the car's OBD port, and just start the engine. The reader transmits via Bluetooth to the laptop based tool, which has ALL of the Nissan ESMs on it, and internet access (wireless) for performing Diag. Pretty slick. It also has the ability to simultaneously perform diag on ALL of the vehicles CAN systems, (up to 30 on Muranos) and ALL of the Control Units at once as well! IE: You can check for codes in ECU, TCM, ABS, BCM, Power Dist., etc... all at one time! sweet...!

Scuttlebutt says that the 2.5L 4 banger will be 170-ish hp and the 3.5L V6 at around 270hp with 258 ft-lbs.

Sign me up for the new G coupe.

Yeah, I'll likely grab a 3/4 ton Titan when they come out. That Diesel should be sweet.

This is how the current BMW motorcycle (maybe the car division too) diag tool works.

[Group Tester 1]~~~~wireless~~~~>>[KOMET thingy plugged into CANbus or older style diag port on bike]
