Cold

I was just driving outside, it is 3F according to the last thermometer I saw. This is the coldest temp I have ever been in. My hands still hurt from trying to steer on the way home.

It *is* cold.

Bob Danger 2007-01-13 04:18 AM

That's nothing, two years ago, when we had that really cold winter. I remember driving home late one night, it was zero degrees F. Not to mention my car didn't have a driver side window, so not only was it freezing, but I had snow in my pants.

brutall, I have seen a couple of -5*f and all the way down to -12*f. Your boogers instantly freeze, It's ridiculous.

That was your own damn fault  I told you for the longest time to get rid of the Probe for reasons such as this.

It's as cold as a witch's titty...

...in a brass bra...

...doing push-ups in the snow...

...in the middle of January...

...with air conditioning!

100_Percent_Juice 2007-01-13 09:30 AM

...while chewing winterfresh gum...
..and eating dry ice chips...

tysonK 2007-01-13 10:28 AM

*off to buy a jump box today*

ugh.

MPREZIV 2007-01-13 12:53 PM

sucks about the battery. Being stranded FTL...

100_Percent_Juice 2007-01-13 01:02 PM

fatass walmart battery FTW

sperry 2007-01-13 01:18 PM

My thermometer recorded -2F last night.

Tyson, you should just get an Orbital or Optima for that thing... you don't really need the race battery do you?

cody 2007-01-13 03:43 PM

Haven't had a probelm with my little Odyssey Battery. *knock on wood* This is the 2nd winter I've run it.

It is an Optima(small), but anyways.

Yeah I'll have to redo the whole catch can setup if I want to go back to standard size battery.

I guess I'll have them re-do it when I get everything else done.

Last night, 3 people I know had pipes freeze and burst. And then when we were trying to get the water off for one of them, the water spraying out would freeze in like 2 minutes. If I stood in one place for long enough I'd get stuck to the concrete. Twas nutty.

tysonK 2007-01-14 12:26 PM

pipe freeze is da wurst!

just ruins your whole week.

ScottyS 2007-01-14 01:09 PM

We have a secondary pump that charges the pressure tank from the well's holding tank --- the geniuses that installed it put it right on the concrete floor of the wellhouse. Not so bad, except it is controlled by a 1.5ft long piece of 1/4" I.D. running off the main line to a pressure-sensing diaphram that throws the relay for the 110v.

With that tiny, uninsulated, no-flow line running next to the floor, it doesn't matter how high I crank the heater in the room when temps hit 0 --- frozen! So, last night I was out there squirming between filters and pipes to slap some heat tape on that baby. We still have water, must have worked.
