Any interest in my 2005 sti?

The car is sold - well traded in.

Bump for all stock parts included:

Stereo

vf-39 turbo
intercooler
full exhaust

sway bars

100_Percent_Juice 2007-04-29 01:44 PM

sell individual parts?

sybir 2007-04-29 09:55 PM

Bump for a solid car.

Nick, the shift setup on your car is a ful TiC kit with KB SS, IIRC.

Only if I opt to return it to stock which may happen. I'm waiting on Paul for a quote. I have a feeling it may be more than it is worth to return to stock.

hmm i'd be interested in teh defi gauges with the controller unit if you want to part it out. also if you have an EBC, that would be of interst to me too.

having said and done this before, it's probably worth more if you part it out.. it would be nice if you could part the car out yourself.. the parts aren't really that hard to do because you haven't done any head work and all the parts are bolt on.

The car is only a 2005! it's two years old! thats great.. i mean i'd think you could sell that for 23 easy.. and those parts would go for over 3 grand. boosted lowers the value of the car.. so turning it back to stock is the right way to go.. it's kind of shadey to say it has never been boosted and it has been stock forever.. but if you do, expect to get about 20k for the car.. used stock car with higher miles > then boosted car with lower miles

hope it works out.. but before you go posting the car everywhere and letting everyone know its boosted.. i'd think about which way you wanna sell it and commit one way or another.

Probably the most difficult part would be the re-flash to stock - Ecutek. This would also require me to purchase some stock STI injectors.

I also just don't have any time to do it. What happened was my business partner suddenly passed away in February at the young age of 35. He was my best friend as well, so work has been really hard to catch up on - but I am slowly getting there. The debt we shared as a business is now my responsibility only and the sale would help offset some of that mess hanging over me. That combined with my current back pain, make the car a little painful at times to drive.

Fortunately time is helping with the sadness as well as the backpain. Until I find out how much it costs to turn back to stock, I have only advertised it here to see if there is any interest. I figured the only real interest probably would be the parts, but I figured what the heck, it's worth a shot.

Thanks

Nick, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend (Matt, right?). I remember you mentioning he was having health problems and away from the office, but I was under the impression he was doing better.

Let me know if there's anything I can do! Hell, if I had the money, I'd offer to buy your Porsche in an instant! ;)

Thanks Scott. Yes his name was Matt. He was doing better which caught us all off guard. He had a seizure and could not be revived.

Bumpety for OBO.

Dean 2007-06-11 01:41 PM

Somebody buy this! If I hadn't bought the '04, I probably would.

WRX06TR 2007-06-16 08:05 AM

I'll let you know. I am not really trying that hard to sell it yet. Mike at GST gave me a great quote to return it to stock, but getting the time to drive it down there is tough right now. If I return it to stock, I will have a GT30-12 and a Perrin FMIC.

Joeyy 2007-06-16 10:21 AM

Damn man, do you think I could run that beast in BSP?

No, that'd be SM with that turbo at least.

And if you think MikeKs' car is laggy... Nick's is worse (which is by design, since Nick didn't want to be in boost all the time driving around town).

Joeyy 2007-06-16 10:57 AM

Thanks gents.

I believe all you'd have to do is swap the turbo back to stock to make his car legal, but I don't know the whole mod list.

See first post for mods + I do have the stock turbo, but it would require re-flash and not sure how that turbo would work with the FMIC? My guess is not as well as with the stock TMIC. Why don't we get five people to pitch in $4500 each and make it the testing bitch for track and autocross events?

Joeyy 2007-06-17 01:53 AM

Me and Nick should buy it and co-drive. He'll have a nice new garage some day soon.

doubleurx 2007-07-06 09:38 PM

Bump for a SOLD!
