NASA Track Day/USTCC race - Sears Point - Nov 22/23
Looks like the race date was moved up, and will now be in Sonoma!
Scott, It looks like this is a NASA sanctioned event, probably run much like the one here at Fernley, anyway, I don't think I'll run yet, until I get some real track driving instruction, but I may be interested in a trip down to see the USTCC race, which will be running the same weekend http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=400117 |
Geez... another trip thru the Bay... I'll prolly be there...
Hey Gary, you need a pit crew? |
I'm there for pit crew services if we're needed. I'd be happy to do anything I could as a mechanical engineer too, suspension geometry analysis perhaps? :D
|
I've got this penciled in on my calendar. If I go, I'd hope to run in group 3, which is where some other bay are nasioc guys are running. We could check around & see if any instructors are there who could give you a ride in one of the run groups, so you can see how it works and get a feel for tracking your car.
|
Deb, that was actually something I was going to look into, observing the track day, and maybe riding with an instructor or other participant.
|
how much was this thing suppose to cost?
|
To go & watch - sounds like it's free (no charge at the gate). To drive in the HPDE, you'll need to join NASA ($30), and the per day fee is $249.
I've penciled in the date, to go watch -- however, it IS Thanksgiving weekend. If any of you want to go & ride to experience it, I might be able to find you an instructor to ride with. |
Yeah, i will not be able to attend, I 'm going to vegas for thanksgiving.
|
I see from a post on NASIOC that the USTCC last race will not be at LS after all, but will be at Sears Point this weekend, 22-23rd.
