Now, if you don't buy that we'll all kill you.

Something to think about.

The 135i is gonna be sweet. They look a little funky for a BMW if you ask me, but I hear they're going to be under $40K. Anyone seen pricing yet?

I understand the new m3 will have a 4.0L V8.

400+ HP. OUCH!!

Kevin M 2007-08-21 04:03 PM

I didn't say "incorrect" I said "blasphemy." It's lame that BMW didn't continue with the straight six. Can you imagine a nonturbo H6 replacing the EJ257 in the STi?

Like it says on their website " Some companies change the grill. We change the game."

pwned subaru.

BMW had a red one at the Ring on Sunday. There is something about a factory carbon fiber roof that makes me drool...

What would you rather have? Continuing with a heavier I-6 design that puts out mid 300s bhp, or a V8 that weighs 30lbs less and makes 415bhp? If you would seriously choose the former, there's something wrong with your thought process.

Who gives a shit what kind of engine design it is, if it performs and works better.

I can imagine a Turbo'ed H6 in an STi as a factory engine.

As long as the STi is based on Subaru's rally platform, you're unlikely to do anything but imagine it. 2.0L Flat 4 is pretty much what they have to use due to WRC rules... and we get the 2.5L here only because they need the displacement to make similar power under CARB rules.

NevadaSTi 2007-08-22 09:23 AM

I know, but it is fun to imagine. In my mind now, all I am trying to do is figure out how to get another STI. I made the mistake of test driving two of them on Friday.

I'm just partial to inline 6 engines in the first place is all. Seeign the end of the last good one in production kinda sucks to me. So yeah, I guess I kinda do wish they were sticking with the lower performance engine... because I'll never own either one anyway.

cody 2007-08-22 10:48 AM

I'd like to pull my kart with this.
