Enginuity Logging

I just downloaded enginuity and hooked it up to my car. What exactly should I log so that everyone can see what my boost is doing and to make sure that my car is running like normal?

Dean 2007-09-12 06:12 PM

air/fuel, rel pressure (boost), rpm, speed, load(if it has that), WG duty cycle should be more than enough.

ok, im going to do it now.

http://www.xpttuning.com/osecuroms/viewtopic.php?t=323 has a profile.xml that sets up the important stuff that includes what Dean listed. http://www.xpttuning.com/osecuroms/ has lots of info and some modified base roms to try out. you have to be registered to see them though.

I guess I should have asked about what speed, gear etc. I should do the run in. What I did was basically just get on the freeway at WOT and I did it 2 times. the first one was getting on from keystone so it was going up hill slightly. The second one that ends at 92mph was on flat pavement. If I did it wrong then I can go do it again.

Looks fine. 14.5-15.24 peak. WGDC < 85% in all but 1st gear.

Probably best way to do a pull is a single gear from 2000-2500 rpm to redline.

Remember that air/fuel is only accurate from about 14-16...

I will do another run tomorrow. Does it matter what gear im in when I do the 2000-redline pull?

I couldn't get it to do the boost bouncing like I was experiencing. I will see if I can figure out when it does it and in what gear.

2nd gear is ok, but 3rd is better.

wrxkidid 2007-09-12 08:52 PM

I have always heard to log in 3rd and 4th because thats when you reach your highest load. Well technically 5th is but you will be at very unsafe speeds in 5th.

Dean 2007-09-12 09:30 PM

What is the log frequency? You may be able to turn it up a couple samples/sec with this few parameters. You can drop MPH for single gear pulls. Add knock and total timing if you are getting things fluctuating.
