S5's are showing up in dealerships

A guy on NASIOC that works at an Audi dealership just got their first S5 in:

I wish I could justify the $20k more this car costs than the new STi... but I can't even justify the $35k for a new STi. But I can dream!

Two BIG DOOR coupe FTW!!! Wonder if they would do a straight trade for a '99 A4? I bet not.

Now all they need is the Cabriolet version.

A5 cab is coming, not so sure about an S5 cab. Only the S5 6MT is out right now. The A5 and the DSG S5 won't be out until next year.

So, when is one showing up in your driveway?

As soon as I have a spare $60k lying around.

You don't want to hear it, but that's the rightful successor to your SVX.

I just hope I have a house with a big garage for when you get rid of that thing.

That's what I said the day I saw it was coming out: "Look Audi's building the next SVX instead of Subaru".

I just wish the car was out for a few years already so I could pick up a used one.

And if since I'm not allowed to buy a $60k car before I buy a house, I should already have a big garage of my own... in which case I'll keep the SVX since it's worth no where near as much in cash as it's worth to me in sentimental value. I'd love to be able to keep that car for the next 20 years.

The new A4 looks pretty amazing as well. Some similar design ques from the 5 but smaller and less $$$.

Of course the A4 is cheaper than the S5... but the A4 and A5 should be similarly priced, and they should be the same size 'cause they're the same platform (well, as soon as the A4 moves to the new platform next year).
