Some guy on an Audi forum thought sand in his motor would make it better? http://www.audiforums.com/m_693578/m.../tm.htm#693578 |
I've heard of this.

No way.........

I know a guy that did this. Really. We call it the "Bon Ami" motor.
Chevy 350, needed a rebuild. They wanted to polish the intake, so... they dumped a can of this stuff in to the intake of the running motor: http://ace.imageg.net/graphics/produ...-953515reg.jpg Well, needless to say, the effect was no porting/polishing of the intake, but plenty of "porting" of the cylinders. |
Wow.
So funny. Gee, look, some guy did it with a Volvo too. It's just stupid trolling. http://euroteknik.com/forum/showthread.php?p=409461 And from last year, reposted. http://www.tremek.com/forum/performa...ving-them.html |

I stay away from midget porn.
And necro fetishists. and clowns. |
My oldest brother was in the used car business - "Bondo Billy" was his nickname. If he has a car that was burning oil and blowing smoke he would dump a can clorox, Bon Ami, or some other abrasive cleanser into the carb. It reseats the rings really nicely... for a week or two - just long enough to get the car sold. Another nice trick to cure noisy rear diffs. and transmissions is load them up with sawdust to quiet it down... for a week or two...

Once I read that I knew there was no way it could be real.
