This angers me, and I hope you feel that same.
So last night I picked up Nine Inch Nails newest re-mix album; Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D,
the box had a web site address on it: http://remix.nin.com/ You click on it and get this: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...s/greed001.jpg You click to get more info and you get this: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...ies/greed1.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...ies/greed2.jpg It pisses me off that the Internet keeps inching it's way to losing it's ability to share information because corporations make money on some of that information. |
At least it's not just another media company suing another poor schmoe who lives in his grandma's basement for file sharing; Google & NewsCorp actually have the resources to fight back and potentially win.

The war on piracy is like the war on drugs. It can't be won. The sooner record companies realize that, the sooner we can all get to the point where we realize music isn't worth one dollar/song. If you want people to buy your music, offer it in a high bitrate for a good price. Eventually, I hope, bands will abandon their record companies (cut out the middle man) and offer their albums for a buck each on I-tunes or whatever.

Live music is the future.
You heard it hear first. |
