Key in Ignition -> Remote No Work

My cell phone was dying. I put it in the car, put the key in the ignition, took the key fob/remote with me, locked the door. At lunch I hit unlock... Nothing... Had to break into the car. :lol: :oops:

I'm under the impression having the key in the ignition will disable fob/remote functions because it puts the cars fob/remote sensor in programming mode.

It does, I tried it before I was about to do the same thing you did.:)
