I may later have a complete SCCA Solo II D-Stock kit for the WRX consisting of mandrel bent straight-pipe cat back, Whiteline front sway bar, Koni double adustable shocks and 6 Kodiak rims for a highly discounted package price.

If he sells that "D-Stock Kit", that's one hell of a package! The Koni DA's have custom valving specifically for AutoX IIRC, and this kit was used at Nationals by John and Patty!

Debbie, you should keep you eye on this sale! ;)

With the shocks, sway bar, straight pipe and stock exhaust and 6 Kodiak rims and four stock wheels/tires we will let it all go for $24,500. It has 12k miles on it and a 6 CD changer. We are asking $22,500 for the WRX bone stock and $2800 for the 6 Kodiak rims, mandrel bent straight pipe exhaust, dbl adjustable Koni's and Whiteline front sway as a package. I'll be taking the shocks and sway bar off in the next few days. 775-828-0608

I've also got a set of Kumho 711 street tires in 205/50-16 with 3K miles and one day autocross at Lovelock on them. $200.

Update and correction on D-Stock WRX parts

Our WRX in stock form is likely sold. I made a large math error on the D-stock kit pricing. I multiplied the number of wheels by 4 not 6 which would add $500 to the $2800 quoted earlier. However if someone wants the whole package it will be $3000.00. Separate prices are as follows; Kodiak rims (6) with 2 autocrosses of Hooiser rubber left $1500, Whiteline front sway with Perrin bushings and custom slide stop $125, mandrel bent 2.5 inch straight pipe catback $125, dbl adjustable Koni's (4) $1600. New price on the shocks was $2494.60.

Sounds like Perrin endlinks and something to keep the bar from "wandering" left and right. I had a problem with my old whiteline front swaybar doing that. The new ones have little rubber strips and clamps on 'em to keep 'em from moving latterly.

JEvans 2003-11-05 03:08 PM

The Perrin bushings have radial groves inside to hold grease, allowing the bar to move freely and quietly. The stops keep the bar from moving side to side. Side to side movement reduces the bar's effectiveness.

Shaft collars/clamps are available cheap at some hardware stores...

AtomicLabMonkey, what hardware did those pictured come from? They are things of beauty compared to the ones I use.

That particular picture is from Ruland Mfg. (http://www.ruland.com/), they look like a pretty high-end industrial supplier. Their shaft collars seem to be moderately priced... $6.52 for an aluminum 1-1/4" diameter collar. I just used the picture as an example, but I've also seen typical shaft collars & clamps that would work just fine down at my local Orchard Supply for cheaper.
