Should I Be Worried If...

Should I be worried if my left leg is becoming increasingly heavier than my right leg, and there is a slight pain in my left thigh?

If the pain spreads through your chest then your left side goes numb, yes. Contact your physician and let them know you're about to have a heart attack.

Tumor?

It's not a tumor!

Is your skin reddened where it hurts, is the pain sharp/dull, does it hurt worse when you point your toe towards you (opposite of pushing the gas pedal), and does the blood return to your toe on that leg in under 3 seconds when you pinch and let go? Your description has a sound of clot or DVT to it...

I didn't notice any redness, and it was more of a dull pain. It went away and my leg feels fine. However given my weight, and family history I should go get some blood work done. I haven't seen a doctor in a good 15 years. Thanks for the diagnosis.

If the leg gets too bad for you Bob, I'll gladly cut that som-bitch off for you.

Sounds like you may have some clotting issues. Definitely bring it up to Dr Rosenrosen.

Homan's sign: dull pain when you dorsiflex your foot. Usually in your calf, but wherever the clot may be. Usually redness over the area, and impaired capillary refill. You might end up on some daily aspirin or anti-coag. Even just starting at the urgent care or something would work. They can pull a set of labs and see what your clotting times are and maybe do a doppler/ultrasound if need be.

I'll hold the leg while Corey hacks it off...
