Do you have any photos of how those hoses are routed? My last attempt at brake duct hosing ended up smeared all over reno-fernley raceway.

I'd like to see under the car and the brake connection as well.
I guess with your much smaller sub-frame, the hoses will clear, but would like to see teh back of teh brake setup with and without a 17" wheel. |
Here are some pics on the routing on our competiton car.

Unless I am gravely mistaken, that hose routing will not survive their first encounter with a rumble strip, speed bump, or even some driveways that drop away and maybe even some day to day driving if you have a low ride height.
A bunch of us have the RCE kit and that is the real challenge. Routing hose so it clears the ground and doesn't rub the tire at or even near full lock, especially with 255+ width tires. It is possible that your subframe brace allows for different routing that might work. What would be really cool would be is if that routing was part of the brace design. A low profile hard duct section that could be attached that snaked around the problem areas would really rock. If you are interested, I'd be happy to come over and talk with you about it and show you what we have run into. That said, I really like how the whole front fascia looks. |
I've seen people cutting a huge whole in the side of the frame and running it thru there...But My setup routed exactly like the one pictured, they survived the tire rub as long as I didn't turn full lock, but the curbs at RFR killed them. Inlets look nice.

Thanks for the input.;) Give us a call sometime, and btw your idea is a great one. maybe a 3" aluminum or steel hose that can bolt to our Race Brace, and will suvive from the tire rubbing. |
