2010 Subaru Forester - Turbodiesel Boxer

Sounds good to me, and at 34/41 mpg for $28K it isn't too shabby for a well-reviewed SUV that drives like a cross-over.

I'll take the red one?

Ah, about time.

I thought they were going to release the boxer turbo diesel first for the OB, but the Forester works too.

I thought the Legacy was getting it... I also thought the new Forester was based on the Legacy instead of the Impreza, which would explain why the Forester looks so much bigger than it used to.

I was under the impression that it was still the Impreza chassis. Though, the new Impreza chassis shares similar dimensions to the older (still current gen) Legacy chassis. Plus the Forester has a ton more rear overhang, which could account for the larger look.

Dunno though, really.

Maybe. It just looks so much bigger and truck-like than the old version.

Now if they would just chuck that power plant in a car like the OB!

kidatari 2008-10-16 04:45 PM

Just swap the drivetrain into a GC/GM :D

sonicsuby 2008-10-16 06:58 PM

That Ford Escape looks sweet.

Man, that would be so cool.

JonnydaJibba 2008-10-17 07:20 AM

So is that the Forester XL7 or the Forester Grand Vitara?

Kunikos 2008-10-17 08:20 AM

I don't think they are using those names anymore. It's the Forester 2.5XT.

Nick Koan 2008-10-17 08:22 AM

Actually, I think it's the Forester H3, isn't it?

Those are not under car neons, that thing is obviously parked over a small city.

ScottyS 2008-10-17 09:59 PM

Oh look, it's Mt. Whitney!

I think the Subie literature calls those "puddle lights"

I like the puddle lights.

I also like the additional side headlights that only turn on when your turn signal it used... why those went away is beyond me... being able to see the apex of a corner at night before you turn into it, why would you want that!? The last car I remember seeing that on was the mid-90's Maxima.

van 2008-10-18 10:10 AM

I like it
