Need help with a Mac all you software engineers!

Alright pretty simple problem but I am not too great with technology.

Every time I boot up my laptop a first gen Macbook Pro it boots up like normal but always will open word on startup no matter what to a blank document. Its not a big deal but its kind of annoying as it makes the bootup time significantly longer, almost double in fact.

Any ideas are fully appreciated. Thanks guys.

If the program is in the Dock, just right-click the Dock icon for that program and then uncheck Open at Login.

Or, in System Preferences, in Accounts, Click on the Login Items tab. You can add or delete startup items. Don't just hide it, hit the minus button to get rid of it.

Google would have told you that. So much for young people being better with computers. :P

This is really more of an IT problem, than a software engineering problem :p

I learned how to right-click on windows machines about the time I learned my left from my right. So like, 9 years ago.
