Sti Radiator Cap - Causes leak in radiator?
I was right about to purchase a Sti Radiator cap from Suby_dude and he had said this:

Well? Should I still get one? Or be cautious and not?
|
Well I don't see how changing the radiator cap would change the water system pressure... the water pump is still turning at the same speed and the system is still closed. The STi cap might have a higher blow-off pressure setpoint than the stock cap, but you won't ever encounter that unless you overheat the engine. Sounds to me like that unnamed Subaru guy is talking out his ass.

Alright. Thanks for the input. The last thing I need right now is something else to go wrong with my car. the bodyshop has decided to keep it til friday afternoon, even though they said it would be dne by wendesday. :x . Then it goes right back in on Monday. So this whole week and all next week, I am driving a F-350 Turbo Diesel. GAWD that thing is huge.

I can sympathize.. my car is in the suspension shop right now getting worked on and I won't have it back for another week and a half or so, I'm going through withdrawals *hands shaking*. Damn it's gonna kick ass when I get it back though.

Yea, well I just got called from the body shop. They are letting me know that they put a huge scratch on the rear-right fender. They said they are going to fix it of course, but wanted to let me know. Now I am real nervous. I am going to sit there tomorrow afternoon and go over the entire car and make sure that they didn't do anything else to it.

Witch body shop is it at?
