The snow today? Yeah ...my fault

Sorry everyone, I put my summer tires on the SVX on Sunday.

Stupid weather report said it was supposed to be clear all week long, so I thought I'd stack the snow tires in the garage and try to get an early start to spring. That worked well... within 12 hours it went from upper 50's to 26 and 4" of snow on the ground. :unamused:

At least I've got new tires on the truck for trudging around in the snow/ice.

moose 2009-03-09 10:30 AM

Shoot. I have been on my summer tires all winter.

cody 2009-03-09 10:55 AM

Yah, WTF. I looked at the weather on Saturday or something and there was no sign of the 6"+ that we got at my house. :|

MPREZIV 2009-03-09 11:07 AM

Don't take all the blame Scott... I got a flat on my winters late last week, and instead of repairing it, I said "F it, I'll just swap them. We won't get any more snow..." Yeah, I was wrong.

ScottyS 2009-03-09 11:09 AM

I need to get my wheels and tires to Cory for installation, so it's definitely not my fault.

MattR 2009-03-09 12:07 PM

That was insane this morning. I was headed in at 6:30 and didn't see any plows. Anyway I may have helped with the storm, I washed the FJ Sunday :(

TrueNative 2009-03-09 12:19 PM

A little blame here to, as I washed and waxed the car on Sunday.

sperry 2009-03-09 12:21 PM

 I think 80% of Reno washed their cars over the weekend. There was a massive line at the coin-op/touchless carwash on Double-R.

van 2009-03-09 12:59 PM

I guess I'm somewhat at fault too, re01r's went on yesterday

WRX06TR 2009-03-09 01:01 PM

Sweet I am the only one in town with a dirty car and snows :|

cody 2009-03-09 01:19 PM

Nope. My car is brown, instead of blue right now... But i still have streets on there. but yet i dont have snow tires either. haha

DARKSTI 2009-03-10 01:16 PM

My car is also brown instead of black and I still have the WS-60's on :)

WRX06TR 2009-03-10 01:17 PM

Ok, so I'm not the only one...lol. I think I will wash and wax it this weekend tho, so I apologize in advance for the storm I cause

ScottyS 2009-03-10 02:09 PM

Dude, just don't do it before Saturday, I have a rifle match to run.

GusGus91 2009-03-10 03:20 PM

I'm washing mine tomorrow before i go to sacramento. so i am also sorry for the rogue storm that i will start.

I put my summer tires on 3/6 and left for AZ! It's high 70's here and I have to go see the Cubs play, :-)

I had that happen too. Man, the drive to work was scary! I spun out before I even reached McCarran! And I even had my mud grapplers on. From then on out, I did no more than 20mph. That was a nice 45 minute 7 mile commute.

^ I like your racing slicks.

cody 2009-03-11 01:55 PM

Looks safe.

I'll be watching Cubs-Mariners, or more probably asleep on the grass in the outfield lawn area. For $7 I don't care, it just makes me think spring. Maybe I'll run into Pat Riley!?
