Sometime in Oct 2008 clutch started slipping. Order exedy stage1 clutch and Fidanza wheel flywheel. The screw/bolt on the B-Spec USA flywheel came lose and nearly destroy clutch. This explain the sudden clutch problem.

Destroy second gear after clutch/flywheel was install in less then 1/2 block away.

Those are the same person actually. :)

The car looks great, and it's nice to see an RS go to another owner who appreciates it!

Okay I lie. :P

Oh and I just found out today my civic weight a total of 2260lbs without driver and about 1/4 gas.

sperry 2009-04-01 09:33 PM

That Civic is basically my ideal Honda right there! Beautiful track car! If I didn't already have a money pit of a track car, an EG hatch is totally my 1st choice for fun on the cheap.

What motor is actually in it? Personally I'd stick with the stock motor and just throw a decent exhaust on it so I could track all day long and not have to worry about heat like I do on my WRX. But that thing w/ a newer si motor would be crazy fast.

Kaiba 2009-04-02 05:09 AM

The civic have a D16Z6 with stock internals with a bunch of suspension goodies. I was using the stock D15Z1 for 3 years before I swap it out to the D16Z6 in 2008.

I wanted to focus on driving skill rather then relying on power. Those 3 picture at Laguna, Thunderhill and Infineon I was still running on the economic gas saving engine. I have been to the track since.

JonnydaJibba 2009-04-02 07:25 AM

Hey guy, nice RS. Nice EG too.

Missing trim? Where?

...if anything, that car has *extra* trim.

Also, those wheels look like they've just got polished lips... no chrome.

cody 2009-04-03 12:07 PM

The headlights appear to be missing a trim piece.

..how is that "right up my alley"?

cody 2009-04-03 12:44 PM

You're into white trash American Muscle cars right?

AtomicLabMonkey 2009-04-03 12:49 PM

Not particularly.

cody 2009-04-03 01:25 PM

Alrighty then.

Kaiba 2009-04-03 04:29 PM

Yeah... the 86 was missing some trim. I'll try to upload more pictures of the of it after I watch fast n furious. ;)

murphy 2009-04-09 04:42 PM

Nice to see my old ride still kicking around...FYI that thing took very well to being turbo..Oh you can knock about 10k miles off the odo...had smaller tires on it so the odo read more miles than actual..She treated me well and never left me high and dry..have fun. Oh the timing belts and stuff were done on it the summer before I traded it in.

Kaiba 2009-04-10 07:08 AM

It's great to finally hear from you. I try to take good care of it. :)

I did found out that timing belt and stuff were done in your older thread. It's nice to finally confirm these. That saves me some money for now.

I did found a huge dent on the passenger side under the fender between the front tire and side skirt. Near the lower control arm. I'm guessing rally??? :?:

It's not effecting the way it drive and/or performance I think.

Give me more info on your turbo set up. What you used and what it ran at the 1/4 mile?

murphy 2009-04-11 01:24 PM

Nope it was stupid mexican woman cutting out of her lane and smashing into me...she just didn't want to wait for her light and pulled right into me..no look nothing. She tired to say my fault but all evidence pointed to her..then tried to make me pay for her car..it carried on for a few months so I said F@ it and traded it in for the evo...Got better coverage and price from another company dumbed the one for the subie..funny thing was she kept trying to make them pay. The adjuster that checked out my car called back months later to ask me what I wanted to do about her..told him "screw her I'm not paying for anything on her car" never herd another word.

murphy 2009-04-11 01:31 PM

Sorry forgot about the turbo...used 98 wrx TMIC, Stock wrx IHI turbo from a 99. forgot the rest of it..it did ok in the 1/4 just not much top end but the low and mid were a kick. could get constant 1.8 60fts..I also had and old B-spec clutch and light flywheel. I ran it at a max of 10psi, 7 psi daily.

Kaiba 2009-04-12 02:48 PM

So that's what happen. Women drivers.

So 60ft @1.8 turbo add on. That interesting. I couldn't get any lower then 2.0xx. I almost have enough for my EJ257 swap but I still want to get a RX-7 FD3S.

Yeah, I know the rotary are money pit but still want one.
