No way. No FMIC that I know of works with the stock airbox on the '02-07. The Cosworth one for the '08+ does.

No, I change out intercoolers and intakes like some people change oil. I custom design intakes to fit around popular intercoolers so on this car I have had an APS, an SSAC, a CXRacing, Perrin piping, and working on a KSTech one.. maybe. The APS has been sitting around for a while, and I don't think it will go back on. The core is pretty big - overkill for the car's power levels (plural). I have enough FMIC parts for 3 or 4 cars right now.

$500 is a deal on this.

If this was the DR525 I would throw my money at you. I'm thinking 725 core is just too big for my stock turbo (or a gt30). You wouldn't happen to have the 525 core since you change intercoolers so much would you or another "smaller" core that would fit this? The 725 is more for a GT35 or bigger turbo and just too big for me. APS also doesn't sell individual cores that I know of or else I would buy this and then get the smaller core. Also does this come with the replacement water tank?

I think this IC would be fine for around GT30R power and bigger. There are/were one or two guys on this board making 350+whp with it. It IS way overkill for a stock or small turbo. I mean as far as cooling goes you can't be "too big", but it is more volume for the turbo to fill when coming on boost.

I do have the nice polished stainless overflow tank for it, if that's what you were asking.

I want this but I plan on keeping the stock turbo for awhile. If you had the 525 core, i'd buy this today.

Replied a few days ago.

I still have this, and Chris returned to me the bumper beam he borrowed to measure and copy for his APS FMIC.

Speaking of bumper beams, you wouldn't happen to have an 02-03 beam for this I/C setup would you? I'd be interested if you do, I know its probably a longshot though.

If it helps, I've got a stock '02 WRX bumper beam. You could cut it up as necessary for a custom FMIC installation.

This FMIC works for 02/03 as well as 04/05 and 06/07. I think it uses some different little parts that attach to the APS beam between the model years. Here are the install instructions:
http://www.airpowersystems.com/wrx/a...r4_install.htm

For 02/03:
http://www.airpowersystems.com/wrx/a...RX-FMI-R4A.htm

For 04-07:
http://www.airpowersystems.com/wrx/a...I-R4A-MY03.htm

I should have all the parts that came with it for 02/03. I can verify if you are interested.
