My 2 is better than analogy

A while ago I was explaining to a coworker an easy way to remember how to spell "striping". In architecture we use the term alot and if you look closely at our documents you'll occassionally see it spelled "stripping". Hehe. Always funny mistake.

I analogy to help him remember if a word had one letter or two was to "ask yourself would you want more of that thing?".
example:
Desert, no therefore only 1 's'.
Dessert, yes therefore it has 2 's'
Striping, eh not really, so only 1 's'
Stripping, hell yeah!!
Scoping, sure more work = more money, but eh no thanks. Only 1 's'
Scooping, fuck yes. Pile it on peppermint and chocolate and bubblegum you name it! Therefore, definately 2 's'.

See my point? Does anyone else have a double letter word that fits in?

Sniping, no thanks - I don't like babysitting eBay auctions.
Snipping, you bet - keep those sweet Motor Trend articles on the garage wall!
