Subaru Tuning

Hey Guys,
Forgot I haven't posted over here. I will be taking over Ed's tuning up here in N. Nevada.
If you guys have any questions please PM me or email me at cory_schander@yahoo.com
here's some info.
I am Certified by Ed and will discuss every tune/car with him!

Subaru's and Evo Pricing $300.00 and up
2 map price will be discussed on setup and time needed.
I have a disclaimer that will need to be signed every tune.
Please try and have brand names of aftermarket parts, this will make it easier and faster for the tuning process!
Please let me know at least a week in advance if you want a tune! I have become pretty busy. business is good :D

Thanks guys,

Cory Schander

Cory, does this mean there is a AWD dyno in town?

Are you associated with a shop up here?

Other than Ed's blessing, what is your background and such?

Was that a loaded question Dean? I assume that Cory does the same type of road tuning that Ed did.

No, an honest, hopeful question. Ed now has a Dyno in his shop in CA. Cory has offered services in the Vendor forum, I am asking for details of those services, his background, location, etc. as I would with any vendor offering services I might be interested in.

I apologize, I was misinformed, I had heard he had one in his new shop.

A number of people here have Ed's tunes, and I do not see a problem posting here as he has done. This being a fairly technical group, and we ask quite a few technical questions of the vendors that post here.

I am not familiar with IVM, who are they, and again, please tell us more about you. What is your background in auto mechanics, tuning, and motorsports, etc...

No Problem Dean
I have been tuning for just over 2 years. I started with tweaking with my own Subaru and when Ed would come up I was always asking questions about what he was doing. After a couple years I sold my WRX and bought an EVO. I started looking at EVO maps and tuning. I decided to start learning how to tune it as well. after a couple months of tweaking, I had learned what everything does in all the tables with the EVO. I started tuning just EVOs but had a huge demand for Subarus. I new the basics but wanted to learn more.
At the Beginning of August I went down to Ed because he had asked me to be the tuner for up here. I was there for 2 days of training with him to get certified through him and I am trying to get it through COBB still.
When I tune someone I consult Ed and if I don't have a starting base map he sends me one.
I have tuned everything from a Stg 1 wrx to 35r STI's . It is an amazing process and I take great pride in my work. I do tune my own way even though Ed has taught me a Lot. I do know my way around a the boxer platform but I can always learn more.
So far I have tuned a total of 10 EVOs and going on 15 Subarus.

Dean I know this forum is A LOT more technical and I love that, I don't have explain something as much, or if there is an issue I can tell you straight up what is going on, and you guys will know.
IVM( Infinite Velocity Motorsports) is local shop I am contracted with. I tune for them whenever needed.

If you have any other questions let me know.

I can vouch for Cory too. Ive been tuning Evos in Vegas for three years now, and have tuned around 40 cars. So many that I hate tuning my own car most of the time lol. Cory and I both believe in wideband tuning, and that flashing without knowing AFR's is dangerous. I dont touch anyones car unless my wideband is hooked up, and Cory is the same way. I even let him tweak my map, and nobody has ever messed with my ecu except me. He tweaked his own Mivec map, and I am currently using his over the AMS one that I was using before. Gave me 200rpm sooner spool hehe.

When I moved up here, I told Cory I wouldnt be tuning anymore and he can do all the evos in town. I still go down to Vegas and tune a few cars down there once in a while, but I just got too busy and too tired of dealing with people that had no idea what they were doing with their cars. People dont like when you tell them they put a cheap pos exhaust on their 40k car and it hurt power, but hey the truth hurts. Cory is a bit less....harsh...lol
