Hey Art,

Did ya get your car back yet?

ArthurS 2003-11-25 04:21 PM

Nope :(

They said I should have it by the end of the week. They found a few extra pieces that needed replacement, but they were extremly minor, so its not holding up the process.

Friday is supposed to be the day. But I don't doubt I'll get the car back and find 100's of things that they f'd up on.

Man that sucks. You really gonna go the GN route? What're you gonna drive in the winter?

I will hang on to this car for about a month. I have my auto broker searching for a nice GN already for me in the bay area. I am also talking with Matt's aunt (i think its his aunt) about her van she has for sale.

I can always drive the monster truck if there is to much snow outside.

My plan is to the the GN but store it most the time minus race days or just to show it off to keep the miles down. If this van works out, that will be my daily driver. But I do need a beater as a daily driver because the GN is fairly classic of a vehicle to put 24k on a year like I did on the WRX.

SSSoooooooooooo.....I was supposed to have my car back today. They got the new caliper in...cleaned it up...sent me the documents....and then they noticed a hesitation at start-up to reviel that I had a bolt on my transmission mount very bent. So now, we have to priority mail to get the new tranny mount to them. Scott promised my by next Wendesday. I was going to just have them order the STi tranny mount, but that takes much longer to get in. :x

Lithia = sucky and slow service. Scott is a good guy though.

I will post the details of all that was broken a little later.
