Gothika - TWO THUMBS UP

I saw this movie tonight and DAMN was I impressed. It was freaky and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I would suggest this to everyone to watch. :D

I'm glad you liked it. Lately(2000-present) a visually appealing film can quench most of my movie desires. Great writing does not come from photography or ILM, I digress. I will eventually find time to get in a viewing. Thanksgiving really fucked the theatres up, gobble. I was stunned to see http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/Casa...75/reviews.php de-railed(friday and a half showing??!) from the theatre. Basically to make room for all the holiday fluff that will stay for perpetuity till the next big chirstmas change over. I don’t like missing films in the theatre I want to see. I did not mean to hijack the thread for my own rant but anyways. Lately I noticed the theatres falling apart also. Broken seats, stained seats, those little floor lighting bulb things getting burnt out. Even the other day I noticed a rear surround speaker crackling(theatre 8 Sparks). I guess it kinda answers my question to why multiplex theatres seem to get rebuilt altogether in close time proximity, instead of paced out from year to year.

On werd and Up werd.

Usually fall/winter is the good film season; pre-empt to oscars. I have not seen a film in a long time that has really excited me like http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0175880/ or http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0130827/. It seems so long ago, well 4 or so years. Basically I am looking for films to look forward to such as http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0212712/ in post-production argh!

whoops this reply is teh longish.

I have slowly noticed the theaters going to piss also. But the century theaters are still 10x better then any other theater around. Go into the Greenbrea 8 or the Carson theaters....and it will make you feel that century theaters are heaven.

Yeah Tyson, I'm really excited about seeing "tt0175880/" too, I heard that ab2346246 play the lead and does a great job! :P (Tyson, wth are you ranting about? You totally lost me in the 1st half for your post.)

Actually, I just went and saw Master and Command again today with my family. My Dad liked like it a lot, just like I knew he would, but my mom, sis and her BF were all bored... oh well there's no pleasing the peasents I guess. They should have gone to see Elf instead.

Anyway, I heard Gothika was crap, but then again you can't believe newspaper reviewers anymore, they said Haunted Mansion was good... and I'd rather gnaw my own foot off than see a Disney movie that isn't made by Pixar, or any movie with Eddie Murphy (it's called peaked with Beverly Hills Cop). My only issue with going to see Gothika, is that it's hard for me to get motivated to see a scary/suspensful movie... I'm more of a comedy or action kinda guy. Something like Itialian Job, or Ocean's 11 are up my alley. I'll prolly just see Gothika when it comes out on DVD.
