Finally I might have a Subaru!!!

We went to the car show today. We're interesting in Honda CR-V, Toyota Rev 4, Outback. I know it is not a speed racer. We just looking for a family 4WD car to replace our 11 years old Isuzu Rodeo. Any input in which one to get 2.5? 3.6? limited? or Premium?

IMO, 2.5 gets good gas milage, 3.6 is obviously bigger and gives more power but I cant say anything about milage.

Now the limited or premium, I cant comment on.

I'd say go with the Outback of course. Drive both engines. If the 2.5i has enough power for you, save the money and go with that. If not, go with the 6. As for trim, just look at which options you really want and which ones are just nice to have. If it's significantly more money for the ones you don't really have to have, then skip them. Easy right? :)

Get the bigger engine. When I bought a saturn VUE for my family 5 years ago I opted to go with the Honda 3.5l V6 and I am so glad that I did. The 2.5 might be sufficient if you are driving alone but, when you load up the family and a pile of crap to go camping or on a trip, you will wish you had the 3.6.

That's a good point.

is there not a 2.5T available because that probably gets better gas millage than the 3.6

Find a well-cared-for Forester or Outback XT?

Although the 3.6 would be interesting from the newishness point of view!

Not enough to make up for the cost difference.

We gonna drive them both 2.5 and 3.6. What ever she like because she gonna drive it. Thank you for all of the inputs.
