Mini returning to WRC with Prodrive
 

BMW will be entering select rounds of the WRC in 2011, with a full program in 2012. The car will be developed by Prodrive, which hasn't been in rallying since Subaru pulled out a few years back. The race car will be based on the new 4 door Mini Countryman

I'm saving the rejoicing until after I see what the rally car looks and drives like. Not that I've given 2 shits about WRC since the rules got all retarded and Subaru walked away.

I think it looks 10 times better than an Fj. I would rock one if it had some decent hp, didn't research and don't know what its sporting under the hood...

The WRC version will have a 1.6L turbocharged motor, according to the article. I assume the street car will too, but making much less power.
