Maybe a 2011 Legacy owner
 

My wife and I went the the Lithia Reno to look at 2011 Legacy and she really love it. I test drove both 2.5i and 3.6R. I like the power of the 6 cylinders but also like the mileage on the 2.5i with CVT. We gonna get the Limited version with dark blue (Azurite Blue Pearl).

I don't know anything about this car. What do you guy think? 2.5i or 3.6R and why?

It kinda depends on how you (or she) will drive. If you aren't speeding around a lot, the 2.5i will have enough power. But, that said, extra power is also very nice.

Anyway, my 05 2.5GT has been solid for me. I love that thing. The 2011 is a new body style, and it looks very nice. I haven't spent a lot of time looking into it, but it seems like an improvement over the generation I own in almost every way from a mechanical standpoint.

I want a GT too but it's only stick no auto. So 3.6R is the next one down with only 10 Hp less. Interior look really nice big back seat.

I think you can also get away with 87 octane on the 3.6R motor, whereas the 2.5GT still needs 91. So, overall, I'm actually more in favor of the 3.6R if you want the extra power (and won't be modding your car).

It will be stock no modify for my wife. So I might get that 3.6 engine. Which will gain almost 90 HP more for about $3000. Not a bad deal.
