Chop or Real - Integra w/ a Viper Engine
So, I saw this the other day on offtopic.com. Some people are saying its fake, and other say its real. Some guy claims to even know the guy who did it, and says he has seen slips. Do you guys think its a chop?
http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...9/487446_7.jpg And for comparison of the bodies and engine bay possible sizing: http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...6/000168-E.jpg http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1...3/003384-E.jpg |
Even if it is real, that abomination wouldn't be able to turn worth a damn.
|
turn shoot the first time you drove that thing it would over heat. they would have diched a lot of the pluming
|
Somone wanna explain to me how a Viper engine powers the front wheels? Or am I supposed to believe there's a RWD conversion too, including a tranny that would end up taking half the driver's seat? Did they move the driver's seat to the backseat?
I think it's a fake. Especially since the engine in the picture is blurry from manipulation in Photoshop, whereas the rest of the car is sharp. |
I'm gonna say fake for most of the same reasons already posted. Even with a RWD conversion, I still can't believe that there is enough room in the Integra bay to house a 10 cylinder motor (Viper is a V-10, right?).
I would have to see it in real life, then have the owner turn it on and let me drive around in it before I believed that it was actually real. |

yah they would have to let me drive it to really believe it too!  |
Fake. There is no way the heads would clear the strut towers. And if they did, the headers sure as hell wouldn't.
|
The engine is way to wide if you look at both of these cars next to eachother the viper is was way wider. When you pop the front end of the viper its all engine under there.
|
Fake. Look REAL close and you can see that the motor is off center, and you can't see the cylider bank on the driver's side. If it were there, however, it would be occupying the same space as his other Hoosier or whatever crap that Teg is supposedly using to allegedly put the 500 ft./lbs. to the ground. :p

Oic... so his rear main seal is like, in the back seat? Oh, and he can just reach over and twist his distributer to adjust timing! Cool!

Kevin, nice sig: "Please! Somebody, anybody, make t3h n00bs on i-Club stop!!! Aaaarrgghhhh!" You need to implement a n00b bashing program like over at NASIOC. IF you torment them enough it really cuts down on n00b posts. It's also provides a nice hostile environment that you can be proud of! </OT> |

Yes, I feel I'm to be commended for bashing t3h n00bs here instead of actually on i-Club.
And Scott, this is already OT. No need for t3h code. ;) |

Speaking of n00b bashing, I wrote the book... well, I at least teach the class. |
HAha, wicked thread. I'd revive it if it weren't for my extreme n00b status in OT.

If you can't figure out where that goes before I tell you Scott, I'm leaving to find a board where the Admin doesn't make spelling errors. If you've text messaged Alex you know that's not i-Club either. :p |
