Senna

A couple of us are going to see the Ayrton Senna Documentary in Berkeley CA, August 19th. It's a one night only showing, and it's the closest it will be to Reno. Anyone else interested?

silversuby 2011-08-03 07:45 PM

Sweet. Sounds fun. I might be able to go and would be interested in going if my schedule permits.

Bob Danger 2011-08-08 06:48 PM

Tickets are on sell now!

https://tickets.landmarktheatres.com...ookiesupport=1

I ordered 3, 2 are spoken for the other is a maybe.

silversuby 2011-08-10 09:02 PM

I can go. What showtime did you buy tickets for? Would you guys like to caravan or carpool there or something?

Bob Danger 2011-08-10 09:40 PM

9:55. We're planning on leaving between 4 and 5, or whenever Tim gets off work. Are you in Sac?

silversuby 2011-08-11 04:14 PM

Ok. I'll buy a ticket. Unless you wanted someone to buy that third ticket from you. I'll be staying with my sister in tahoe that day so thats where I'll be but I could meet you guys elsewhere if thats easier for you.

Bob Danger 2011-08-14 05:28 PM

At the moment the third ticket is spoken for so you would need your own. We may end up having to pick someone up in north tahoe on our way out in which case we may be able to pick you up. If not we can arrange to meet in Reno and take 1 car. Go ahead and PM me your cell phone telephone number and I'll let you know as soon as we have a set plan.

If you guys need a place to crash in Sac Friday night, my place is open - I'm leaving Saturday morning for the bay but it beats a 4 hour drive home late at night.

silversuby 2011-08-15 06:41 PM

I bought my ticket. And pm'ed.

Shouldn't be necessary, but I'll keep that in mind, thanks Aaron. I'll be sure to grab your number from Cory before I leave work on Friday.

I'm sure I don't need to tell everyone, but it was incredible.

Libila 2011-09-06 05:26 PM

Bobby, have you looked in to a torrent yet? I haven't been able to find one.

sybir 2011-09-06 05:52 PM

I have one - it's the portuguese version with no subs, but you definitely get the emotion. Buy it, seriously.

Amazon UK is selling the full-boat bluray (not region coded, and with English language/subtitles) for <$30 shipped; mine is on order already. Haven't seen a release date for the US version yet, but if you have a PS3 it's a no-brainer. It's actually cheaper than listed, because you don't pay VAT.

What about a DVD for those of us who are skipping the whole BR medium?

sybir 2011-09-07 09:57 AM

DVD's are region-coded and not everyone has region-free players. You'd need to wait for the US release, which has to be coming sometime soon - just hasn't been announced.
