FWIW, I think some of the folks from the club that haven't been out to the track in a while are thinking about coming out... so there should be some familiar faces at the track this Saturday.

If so, PLEASE pre-register on-line. You don't have to pay if you don't want until the event, but it makes it much easier for Carol (Registration) and I (Chief instructor) if you pre-reg.

I'm backing out, I don't have brakes to run an event and it's too late to get them now.

You suck!

propartsusa.com has Cobalt CSR pads for the Mini in stock. They're not cheap ($230), but they're supposed to be good HPDE pads. UPS Ground is $12 and should get here before Friday. I'd even help you put 'em on the car friday evening if you need help... Just like old times, I'll pick up the milkshakes. ;)

Or I probably have some for the Limited. ;)

With my new job and schedule, I can't make it happen this time, I'll try for October. And i no longer shop at Summit even if it is in stock, there's and incredibly huge douchebag that works the front of shop there that has forced me never to give them a fucking penny again.

That sounds like it deserves a story thread...

Yes it does. I will be there most likely.

Sorry if this is a silly question but can you drive and volunteer?

Sort of. You could help registration, tech, hospitality (food/water) or instruct(if trained/licensed) and drive, but not really work a corner.

You could learn timing, race control, starter or safety duties as well since they are all located in/near the paddock.

Show up early and tell Carol (registration) you want to help out and what you might want to do.
