Squeak in steering column
 

I finally take care of the rattle by the clock and then this tiny little squeak develops behind the steering wheel. It happens when I turn left or right and it's hit and miss. Has anyone had this? Is there something in there that I can lube?

Steering column cover halves squeak against each other on mine at times. Anoying, but I haven't taken the time to put some weather stripping type stuff in the offending areas.

Yeah its not that. That was the first sound I fixed years ago because it was the most annoying. This happens when I turn the wheel like there is a bearing or something that needs attention.

Did you try getting the sand out?
