Nearing 100k miles. Recommend me a mechanic?

So I'm getting pretty close to 100k miles on my '05 Impreza RS.
Any suggestions on an inexpensive & honest mechanic for replacing my timing belt? This one place near me quoted me a freakin boat...

They are ZIEX ZE512 tries that have around 60-80 total miles on them.

Ive heard good things about him. - He will fix the dent but what if i have a nasty scrape with the dent? Can I touch that up myself or what is the best way of fixing that?
