3.5" SATA drives still need a power connector. Should plug in next to data cable.

SATA doesn't need jumpers

Bios for SATA should be set to "Auto"

Make sure the SATA controller is enable in usually the 3 or 4th BIOS page.

Make sure Boot order is still pointed at old boot disk.

I can help tomorrow any time.

Make sure new drive spins up. Take it back out of the case if necessary.

Should see it in POST during boot.

Once it is there, it should be visible in Disk Management in "manage computer" or "computer management"
