It's good, clean fun.
It has new environments, items, and music, so it's worth picking up. I only keep two iterations in my collection at a time, though: the PSP version is permanent, and I trade the last console version towards the newer. Katamari is a lot like a Mario Party in that it's not really worth having the older ones laying around unused.

Not necessarily. There's plenty to play on the 360, but much of it is also available on PC. Though you'll be missing out on good stuff like Forza 2 and Mass Effect. . .
