hey man, thats what they told me....unless they have developed some super cheap disposable ones recently....
UPDATE: Well, it is NOT, in fact, the tire pressure sensor. It is the valve stem that connects to the sensor. That needs to be replaced you get a new rim. Now, if i got aftermarket rims, i would have to buy the whole assembly. But since these are factory rims, the cost of the sensor is included with the rim. The Subaru techs just didn't know you had to change out the valve stem every time you get a new rim. This makes much more sense than an $8 tire pressure sensor.
so yeah.....it's not some sophisticated piece of microtechnology holding me back from driving my car. No, something much smaller and cheaper in fact.
